Users with a Staff role can directly edit primary content, rather than just adding comments. If you have the Staff role, you'll see some menu items below the title of the item: View, Edit, and possibly more. Selecting Edit will allow you directly edit what appears in that section.

The best approach is to check the "Create new revision" in the "Revision information" section and provide a short note explaning the edit you are making. This enables the system to keep a record of revisions, so that if mistakes are made the content can be rolled back. The first such revision will cause a "Revision" menu item to then appear next to "View" and "Edit" below the item title. You will not see any of these options if you don't have the "Staff" role or another role that's been given the necessary permissions.
