Website speed during development period

While I am developing the site and dialing in the myriad little visual details and formatting issues, all caching is turned off and the registry that is referred to for all visual issues is rebuilt on every page load. All this slows things down a lot from how it will be when the site is in normal ("production") mode. So, if it seems like it's awfully slow sometimes, you're right. But it will not always be thus, I promise!
