I forgot an important item. Your checkbook!
I have forgotten this myself more than once, since I normally never take my checkbook with me anywhere, anymore. But it's the only option other than cash to pay for your Family Camp fee. It seems to me like it would probably be a good idea for Camp to have a credit card processing widget, but until that happens, don't forget to bring your checkbook (or enough cash).
Most of the paths around camp are not smooth pavements, but gravel and dirt. Only the essential paths between the dining hall, bathrooms, and dormitory are paved out of consideration for those with mobility needs. However elsewhere the surface is sometimes a little uneven. You need good shoes suitable for the outdoors. One of the attractions at Camp is the hiking trails. These trails are best appreciated with sturdy shoes with good soles and protection for the toes. Lightweight sandals will definitely make for a challenging walk.
