Dogwood Village Revitalization Capital Campaign

Camp Myrtlewood is embarking on a transformative campaign to enhance and expand our facilities, ensuring we continue to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for all visitors. The total project goal for this comprehensive campaign is $575,341. We have already raised $196,891 towards our targets, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Below, we break down each of the four phases of the campaign, detailing their objectives, features, financial goals, and the impact they will have on our camp community.

Phase 1: Dogwood Bunkhouse New Construction

  • Objective: Improve accessibility and comfort for all guests.

  • Features: This phase includes building a new bunkhouse with an ADA-compliant bathroom, an accessibility ramp, and a wrap-around deck. It is designed to accommodate 18-20 beds.

  • Financial Goal: $343,341

  • Raised to Date: $182,891

  • Impact: The new bunkhouse will significantly increase our capacity to host diverse groups, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

Phase 2: Dogwood Bath House Remodel

  • Objective: Update and modernize the oldest bathhouse to enhance safety, comfort, and energy efficiency.

  • Key Upgrades: Heated floors to prevent moisture and mold, modern bathroom fixtures, reinforced ceiling for better safety, and ADA upgrades to enhance accessibility.

  • Financial Goal: $100,400

  • Raised to Date: $0

  • Impact: These upgrades will turn our aging facility into a modern, efficient, and inclusive bathhouse, improving the overall experience for all users.

Phase 3: Outdoor School Office, Housing, and Storage Enhancements

  • Objective: Expand and modernize the facilities used by our Outdoor School.

  • Key Upgrades: More office space, upgraded housing to latest safety and comfort standards, and improved storage solutions for educational materials.

  • Financial Goal: $74,600

  • Raised to Date: $4,000

  • Impact: These enhancements will allow us to support larger groups and provide high-quality accommodations, crucial for the success of our educational programs and staff retention.

Phase 4: Outdoor Learning Stage Construction

  • Objective: Create a dynamic outdoor venue for educational and cultural programming.

  • Key Features: Amphitheater-style seating, built-in fireplace, durable weather-resistant materials, integrated audio-visual systems, and accessibility ramps.

  • Financial Goal: $57,000

  • Raised to Date: $10,000

  • Impact: This new stage will serve as a central hub for creativity, learning, and community engagement, significantly enhancing our capacity to host a variety of events and programs.
